Nsala Safari Camp
Nsala is an intimate and rustic bush camp located in a 5000 ha traverse in the big 5 Nsala Private Game Reserve. The camp is perched on an elevated area on the banks of a dry riverbed. Nsala maintains a standard of comfortable luxury while simultaneously offering a completely eco-aware, off the grid experience for those seeking a safari that reduces their carbon footprint.
There are just 3 chalets at Nsala seeping 2 people, each of which is fully enclosed with a thatched roof and wooden glass sliding door. Chalets surround the main section, offering easy access to the hub of the safari camp experience. Each of the chalets is decorated in a fresh and simple style, with crisp white linen and colourful scatters offset by the monochromatic wildlife prints adorning the walls. There's an enclosed en suite bathroom, and abundant storage space in each chalet.
The central area of Nsala houses a boma area where a fire is lit every evening. This is the main section where guests relax after an evening spent spotting wildlife while out on game drive. A wooden deck surrounds a small splash pool frequented by elephants, while the small lounge and relaxation area flows out neatly from the pool. There’s a dining area where guests can enjoy al fresco dining under the stars.
Nsala Safari Camp’s traverse provides the perfect habitat for a wealth of wildlife to thrive. Mopane bushveld, bush willow and archetype low-lying Kruger shrubbery provides plenty of food resources for herbivores, and den sites for predators. The dry riverbed in front of camp provides the perfect hideaway for leopards. There are daily game drives, sundowners and evening campfires that provide the quintessential safari experience.
A recent TripAdvisor guest commented, “We stayed at the Nsala Safari Camp recently. We had a great time and the staff was really friendly. Good food, too. We went on multiple safari drives. During downtime, we relaxed at the camp. We enjoyed it. We could see birds, monkeys, mongoose daily. We also saw water buffalo, impala and warthogs come by camp. We would stay again.”
