Gorilla Safari Lodge sits straddles the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a primeval forest covering undulating volcanic landscapes in south west Uganda. This national park is home to wild gorillas, forest elephants and 23 species of bird endemic to the area. The lodge is located a mere 8 minute walk form the briefing point and start of the gorilla trek, and there's also plenty of activities available in the area.
There are plenty of activities on offer, which include visit to the Batwa pygmies, mountain biking, guided community walks and forest walks to the Bayenda Falls.
This remote lodge comprises 18 individual units (sleeping 45 in total) each with private wooden balconies overlooking the verdant jungle beyond.
