Our Botswana circuit, called Trails of Botswana, is designed to introduce guests to the wonders of one of Africa’s most pristine countries. The four camps within our portfolio sprawl across contrasting landscapes, offering abundant opportunities for safari-goers to explore the best of Botswana. In addition, we market a lodge in Zambia that’s close to Victoria Falls, which we always add into our longer circuits. We’ve come to realise that many of our guests just don’t know which camp or combination of camps is best suited to their needs. Our reservations department is hard at work designing set itineraries for Botswana, which will be released in the coming weeks.
The Botswana camps and lodges that will feature in our itineraries, include:
Boteti Tented Camp
Boteti Tented Camp is located in wilderness area on the Boteti River, one of the tributaries of the Okavango Delta. The camp is perfectly positioned for a stopover close to Maun, as it’s only 30-minutes from the airport. Included in a guests’s stay is one full-day safari activity per day, which includes Nxai Pan, Makgadikgadi, Moremi Game Reserve, or a full day Mokoro in the Okavango Delta.
Mankwe Tented Retreat
Hiding under a grove of mopane trees in rugged concession just a few hours outside of Moremi, sits the sanctuary-style Mankwe Tented Retreat. Mankwe provides the perfect place to relax in the wilderness, where guests can enjoy the two swimming pools on site, pool bar, and spa treatments. Mankwe takes guests into the Moremi and Khwai region for safaris, but there are wilderness drives and a thriving waterhole in the concession.
Mboma Island Expeditions
Mboma Island Expeditions is all about location. Situated on the waterways of the Okavango Delta in the Moremi Game Reserve, the low-impact camp specialises is a mobile camp that offers both land and water based safari experiences. Meru-style tents sit on the water’s edge, and elephants regularly wander across the campgrounds. Flanked by palm trees and surrounded by the Delta’s exceptional landscape, Mboma truly is magical.
The Savuti region is a coveted area in a quiet section of Chobe National Park, and is renowned for its predator population. Camp Savuti is an open camp with rustic tented rooms on raised wooden platforms overlooking the erratic Savuti channel. Both the landscape and game viewing opportunities at Camp Savuti are outstanding.
Straddling the river-border between Botswana and Namibia, sits Camp Linyanti. The camp is in such a remote and undiscovered area of Chobe National Park, and is renown for its phenomenal landscapes. Activities in the area are centred around the lagoons, floodplains, and marshlands of the area. Camp Linyanti is an idyllic spot to escape the crowds that descend upon the Chobe during peak season.
Taita Falcon Lodge
Taita Falcon Lodge is an enviable position on a cliff overlooking the beautiful Batoka Gorge in Zambia. Located a stone’s throw away from Victoria Falls, Taita Falcon is perfectly situated to explore the region. The rustic hideaway is owner run and managed, and provides warm hospitality coupled with local flare.
